Catherine Colonna, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, arrived by train in kyiv, Ukraine, on the morning of Monday May 30. This is the first visit by a French minister to the country since the start of the war. After a visit to Boutcha, the minister is due to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the day.
Catherine Colonna, the new Foreign Minister, traveled to Boutcha (Ukraine) on Monday May 30 to pay tribute to the hundreds of massacred civilians. “This afternoon, she will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his counterpart, Ukrainian Foreign Minister”says Madjid Khiat, special envoy to kyiv (Ukraine).
At the end of the afternoon, Catherine Colonna will go to a fire station, in order to hand over the civil security equipment sent by the French authorities. “But many Ukrainians have told us here that they expect weapons beyond this civil security material, and they would also like another visit, that of the French President, Emmanuel Macron”concludes the journalist.
