Regarding agricultural calamities, the government wants to speed up the arrival of compensation for losses suffered by farmers, in particular due to drought. “In normal administrative processes, the compensations would be paid in the month of March-April. On the question of the attractiveness of agricultural professions, the Minister’s response is straightforward: “We make it attractive first of all by valuing breeding and saying good things about it rather than saying bad things about it. There is a subject of valuing these professions, which are useful professions“.
If there is no remuneration, there is no production
Added to this is the question of remuneration. Questioned on this question, Marc Fesneau assures him: the actors of the large distribution are of good will as for the purchase price of the liter of milk. The minister qualifies all the same and pleads the “collective responsibility” in the remuneration of the farmers. According to him, consumers must favor the producer’s remuneration in their acts of purchase, as much as possible.
