“I find that we take the subject a little by the end of the lens when the subject is more global than that”, reacts Thursday February 22 on France Bleu, Frédéric Valletoux, Minister Delegate for Health. Six deputies, unions and associations sent a letter on Wednesday to the President of the National Assembly, for the creation of a commission of inquiry into the emergency crisis and “loss of opportunity for patients”. “I wouldn’t have written it like that and that’s why I moderately support it” this request, declares Frédéric Valletoux.

If he welcomes this approach “transpartisan” who aims “to shed more light on the tensions in the health system”the Minister for Health considers that “to ask the question of emergencies is to ask a very small part of the problem”. Because according to him, “The problem is the health system as a whole.”

Frédéric Valletoux develops: “If emergency rooms have seen their attendance double in 30 years, if there is such tension in emergency rooms, it is because things are dysfunctional elsewhere.” The Minister “would not want us to focus criticism on the hospital as if it were the only weak link in a system which is in difficulty at all levels”.
