Zeus, the aluminum horse which split the water of the Seine during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, will be exhibited at the Palace of Versailles from Tuesday October 2 until November 24, announced Friday the establishment.

After the Paris City Hall, where it was exhibited free of charge, this silver mechanical horse will be exhibited “in the royal courtyard, in the heart of the castle, with a view of the royal stables and the equestrian statue of Louis XIV“, specifies the Palace of Versailles in a press release.

The exhibition of the work designed by the Nantes design agency Blam “allows the Olympic spirit to be extended to Versailles, where the equestrian events were held this summer“. It also concludes the tour of an exhibition entitled Horse in Majesty presented until November 3 at the Palace of Versailles and which traces 400 years of equestrian history in Europe.
