Sciences Po Menton is closed “until further notice”, France Bleu Azur learned on Tuesday April 30 from the management of this campus. This decision was taken after the occupation of the premises on Monday by around thirty students to support the Palestinian cause. A banner “Gaza, Sciences Po is with you” was deployed in front of the establishment.

Negotiations took place. The management of Sciences Po Menton offered to send four Campus students to Paris to attend an internal debate “open to all Sciences Po communities” aimed at discussing in particular the war in Gaza. But in return, the demonstrators had to evacuate the premises. However, some stayed there for a good part of the night, reports France Bleu Azur.

The management therefore decided to close the campus. Classes on Thursday and Friday will take place remotely, by videoconference. Exams are scheduled from Monday. The Menton campus brings together 300 students on its site and abroad, management told France Bleu Azur.
