“The measures that have been announced are good,” reacts the MoDem deputy for Loiret Richard Ramos, Friday January 26 on franceinfo, after Gabriel Attal’s announcements for farmers. “We need to rebuild trust and trust has been around for a long time,” believes the elected official.

Gabriel Attal indicated that “France opposes the signing of the Mercosur treaty”, but he did not mention the differences in standards between European countries. “We cannot impose standards on our farmers and import products that do not have the same standards,” believes Richard Ramos.

“Food must be a civilization project”

The MP also asks the government to “choose your side”. “Large distribution is in the process of boosting our farmers and our SMEs by giving ever lower prices and from time to time with the blessing of Bercy”, says Richard Ramos who regrets that the Prime Minister is not pronounced “a word about parliamentarians”. For him, “we must apply the Egalim law” who go “in the right direction”.

“Food must be a civilization project and not as an adjustment variable, pleads Richard Ramos. The Prime Minister will be able to grind whatever he wants, eating is what made a civilization.”

Richard Ramos recommends not “not to hide our faces either” about “trade union organizations which are in the process of shortchanging the one who will be the most violent”. According to him, “some at Rural Coordination continue to be violent whatever the measures because they want to go in that direction.”
