The government reveals the calendar. Announced in an interview with Parisian by Elisabeth Borne, the measure which authorizes the sale “at a loss” of fuels will be effective “December 1st for a period of six months”announced Monday September 18 in the program “Les 4 vérités” on France 2, the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire. “VSThis will make it possible to find, depending on what distributors can do, cheaper fuels throughout France. That’s our goal.”he explained.

“Our method is to engage everyone in this fight against inflation. The State cannot bear the cost of inflation alone otherwise it will increase deficits and the debt”, however specified Bruno Le Maire. This measure, included in a bill “from the beginning of October”, will then be examined in the Assembly. Legislating is indeed necessary, since selling at a loss is currently prohibited by law.
