After journalist Ophélie Meunier, it is the turn of the various right-wing mayor of Roubaix (North), Guillaume Delbar, to file a complaint for threats following the controversial report of “Forbidden Zone”, learned AFP from the parquet floor of Lille, Wednesday February 9. The subject aired on January 23, devoted to radical Islam, was partly shot in the northern city (but also in Marseille, Lyon and Bobigny, in Seine-Saint-Denis).

In a letter to France Bleu Nord, he had assured to receive “more than ten” threatening messages per day and have become “a living target”, since the broadcast of the M6 ​​program. The report mentioned in particular the links between the mayor and an association of the city, suspected of dispensing “Quranic lessons” using public funds. Guillaume Delbar and three members of the association are summoned on October 13 before the criminal court of Lille for these facts.

The mayor had denounced in this report a “caricature” of the city, which had earned him to be qualified by some of “prostitute” Islamists, according to his letter. The presenter Ophélie Meunier and an associative activist from Roubaix, who testified in the program, have already been placed under police protection because of similar threats. The activist says he received messages calling him a “kuffar” (“unbeliever” in Arabic) and telling him that“He will be beheaded and slaughtered”.
