Anne Hidalgo, mayor (PS) of Paris and candidate for the presidential election, announces, on the evening of March 1, on Twitter, the release of aid of one million euros “for associations, NGOs and actors in the field who organize the collection and delivery of basic necessities in Ukraine or in neighboring countries, and prepare the reception of Ukrainian refugees in Paris”.

After five days of armed conflict in Ukraine, the elected representative ensures that “the City of Paris is fully mobilized to prepare for the reception of Ukrainian refugees in the coming days”. Anne Hidalgo specifies that the capital has “also mobilized social landlords”but also “Parisian hotel and real estate actors for the reception and accommodation of refugees”.
The mayor of Paris also announces that “the City will welcome in Paris nurseries and schools all the children of refugee families who will be settled in the capital”and promises a “medical care and psychological support” refugees upon arrival.
