Bruno Beschizza, mayor of Aulnay-Sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis), was notably invited. “For me, the important thing was the symbolism“, underlines the elected official. “When you are the mayor of a suburban town, little listened to, with 10 million damages, you are always satisfied to be received at Matignon“, insists Bruno Bescizza. “Anger, because three months later, zero cents reimbursed, zero reconstruction financed in the damage caused after the riots. So we see the gap, and that was for me, the important testimony in relation to the State“, declares the city councilor.

“Bureaucracy, insurance are catching up with them”

“I believe the President of the Republic when he made declarations, (…) but after the bureaucracy, the insurance companies catch up“, regrets Bruno Beschizza. What stood out in particular during these riots was that it was not only suburban towns and difficult neighborhoods that were affected, there were also several medium-sized towns, such as that of Montargis (Loiret).Same observation. When we talk about the riots, there is no point in analyzing them. There is no point in selling dreams if residents in all cities, provinces and difficult neighborhoods do not see that life has resumed.“, says the mayor of Aulnay-Sous-Bois.
