In Bordeaux (Gironde), the mayor’s car seems to have hit a student on a scooter. A 22-year-old woman filed a complaint for unintentional injury and hit-and-run. The elected official disputes this version of the facts.

The shock occurred in front of a public garden in Bordeaux (Gironde), a week ago. An electric scooter crosses the Verdun course and collides with a vehicle from the city of Bordeaux in which Pierre was Hurmic, the mayor of the city. The driver of the scooter believes that there was a hit and run. The municipal opposition denounces the mayor’s attitude. The young girl, a 22-year-old student, suffered from a cervical sprain. She says she was dissuaded from filing a complaint at the police station on two occasions.

The judicial investigation has only just begun

She contacted the public prosecutor and filed a complaint for unintentional injury and hit-and-run. A version of the facts contested by the mayor of Bordeaux. “The driver rolled down the window, spoke to the passenger of the electric scooter who had just hit our vehicle, he asked her news, she told him: ‘I’m okay’. He offered to take her stop further to make an amicable observation, the person preferred to decline his proposal and continued on his way”, confides Pierre Hurmic. The judicial investigation is only just beginning.
