The president of the Professional Football League (LFP), Vincent Labrune, announced, Thursday, November 2, that the meeting between Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais, which should have been played on Sunday, October 29, has been postponed until the date of December 6, in a location to be determined “subsequently”. The Olympico was unable to start and was postponed after a long wait, following projectiles being thrown at the bus transporting the Lyon team to the Vélodrome stadium. The Lyon coach, Fabio Grosso, was notably hit in the face.

“The LFP competitions commission has decided on the one hand, in application of article 544 of the regulations, (…) to play this match on Wednesday December 6, the first date available with regard to the calendar of the two teams, and on the other hand, to subsequently determine the location of this meeting, while awaiting additional information from the public authorities allowing it to be held in conditions of optimal safety and security for all of its members. actors and audience”indicated the LFP in a press release.
