The case concerning the disappearance in 1985 of Marie-Ange Billoud in Isère, in the Pontcharra sector, is relaunched by a complaint from the family, franceinfo learned from master Bernard Boulloud on Monday May 23, confirming information from RTL. A complaint against X with civil action for “kidnapping” and “sequestration” has been filed with the public prosecutor of Grenoble, specifies the lawyer.

It is motivated by the confessions, at the beginning of May, of Yves Chatain concerning the murder of Marie-Thérèse Bonfanti, 36 years after the facts. Marie-Ange Billoud, 19, disappeared in the same area: May 9, 1985, near Pontcharra in Isère.
In this case, it is also Yves Chatain who is targeted. Thirty years ago, Marie-Ange Billoud’s mother had already accused him. Yves Chatain had sued her for defamation. The mother of Marie-Ange Billoud had been sentenced at first instance to fifteen days in prison, then on appeal to a fine of 6,000 francs.
As a reminder, in early May, Yves Chatain was indicted for “kidnapping”, “kidnapping” and “murder”, placed in pre-trial detention 36 years after the disappearance of Marie-Thérèse Bonfanti in Pontcharra in Isère. He admitted to investigators that he had killed the 25-year-old mother by strangling her. The victim’s body has not been found. Maître Boulloud, who is also the lawyer for the Bonfanti family, hopes for a new analysis of the Billoud file after these revelations.
