Gérard Larcher and Yaël Braun-Pivet called for a march against anti-Semitism on Sunday November 12. While the RN says it wants to participate, the government and the left protest.

Since the start of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, more than 1,000 anti-Semitic acts have been recorded in France. Faced with this worrying upsurge, the President of the Senate, Gérard Larcher and the President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, are launching an unprecedented call for a march against anti-Semitism, Sunday November 12. All parties are invited to this march, which will join the National Assembly to the Senate.

LFI will not be present at the march

The National Rally was one of the first to say that it would participate. “I will participate, Jordan Bardella will be there, all of our elected officials will be there”, indicated Marine Le Pen, RN deputy for Pas-de-Calais, guest of RTL, Wednesday November 8 in the morning. For the left and the government, the RN should not participate, due to the convictions for anti-Semitism of Jean-Marie Le Pen. “The National Rally has no place in this demonstration“, assures Olivier Véran, government spokesperson. For its part, LFI has announced that it will not go there.
