The Marais du Grand Saulcy in Moulins-lès-Metz

A little history …

Former bed of the Moselle and very close to the current marsh, there is an old stone bridge from the 15th century. The idea was to renature this place and the LPO had started to make an inventory of bird species.

The Grand Saulcy marsh has been equipped since 2019 with a discovery trail open to the public. This little gem of nature in the heart of Moulins-lès-Metz, protected and managed by the Conservatory of Natural Spaces of Lorraine, will surprise you with the seasons.

Remarkable site of biodiversity with old forests left in free evolution to preserve habitats where a whole fauna nests in the old trunks.

A wetland rich in reedbeds which is home to a whole range of biodiversity
