Hossegor is a Landes city with multiple riches. Its first particularity is to have 2 centers:

Hossegor, the seaside resort born in 1931, and Soorts, the historic town whose history dates back to the 11th century. It was the growing notoriety and the influx of tourists that prompted local elected officials to add the name of Hossegor to that of Soorts in 1913.

It is surfing that gives fame to Hossegor. Appeared in the 1950s, several beaches in the city have since hosted international competitions in this area.

In addition to surfing, other sports are also very popular in Hossegor: golf, tennis, pelota and coastal rescue.

If you love the ocean, Hossegor has 4 ocean beaches, the busiest in summer being the central one with its famous Place des Landais.
