Marie-Paule is the head of the emblematic bar in Locminé, in Morbihan. After 40 years of loyal service, she is finally retiring. It is the end of a great adventure and a new page is turned, for a woman much appreciated in the town.

In Locminé (Morbihan), these are institutions: The bar “Le pont du chat” and especially its boss, Marie-Paule Samson, 67, who is retiring. On her last day, customers and friends made the trip to shower her with gifts and wish her good luck. “I’m a little bit moved, it’s true that I liked people“, she declares.

She loved them, and for good reason. She knows them well, she who was born in this bar, and who took over 40 years ago from her mother Odette, who herself had succeeded her own mother behind the counter. “My oldest client, Michel, 85, is here today. He plays cards three times a week“, confides Marie-Paule.”We are in nostalgia, it’s magnificent, a beautiful story“, describes a regular. Marie-Paule will finally be able to rest, but she has promised it, no question of not seeing her friends again. This time, it will be her who will be served.
