They were 38 since the end of July, mobilized for friendly matches against Italy in order to prepare for this World Cup, they are now 32. Thomas Darracq, the coach of the Tricolores, revealed, Sunday, September 11, the name happy chosen ones.
The chef’s real surprise is undoubtedly the presence of Joanna Grisez. Coming from the France rugby 7 team, with whom she has just won the bronze medal in South Africa, the player from Bobigny, who has no selection with the XV of Les Bleues, will try to experience the same success. And even better, since Darracq did not hide that his team was aiming for the title after the third place acquired at the last World Cup in 2017.

Grisez, who will celebrate his twenty-sixth birthday just before the opening of the World Cup, should bring this touch of madness and inspiration which the Bleues notably lacked during their two preparation matches against Italy (21-0 victory then lost 26-19).
If the presence of executives such as Captain Gaëlle Hermet, Agathe Sochat, Madoussou Fall or even Laure Sansus is not surprising, other girls will not see New Zealand. The second line Audrey Forlani, wingers Cyrielle Banet and Caroline Boujard, hooker Elisa Riffonneau, third line Axelle Berthoumieu, center Marie Dupouy and rear Morgane Bourgeois were thus not retained.
