After the hunting accident on Sunday November 13 which left one dead in Monieux in the Vaucluse, the alleged shooter is indicted by the Carpentras prosecution for “manslaughter”, reports France Bleu Vaucluse on Tuesday November 15. He was placed under judicial supervision. He is prohibited from hunting and can no longer hold a weapon.
The 63-year-old hunter is suspected of having shot another hunter on Sunday, November 13 at the end of the afternoon in the forest of Monieux. First seriously injured, the 56-year-old victim eventually succumbed to his injuries. Paramedics rushed to the scene were unable to resuscitate her.
According to the gendarmes, the hunter was from Entraigues-sur-la-Sorgue (Vaucluse). According to the first elements of the investigation, opened by the Carpentras prosecution for manslaughter, the shooter touched the victim in the abdomen while both were participating in a wild boar beat in the Nesque gorges.
This is the third hunting accident in the Vaucluse since the beginning of the year.
