The 67-year-old man suspected of killing his 64-year-old partner in Cran-Gevrier, in Haute-Savoie, admitted the facts while in police custody and was charged, France Bleu Pays de Savoie learned on Wednesday August 14 from the Annecy prosecutor’s office.
This man was taken into custody on Monday, suspected of having killed his 64-year-old partner with whom he lived in Annecy. The body was found in Cran-Gevrier. The couple did not have children together but the victim was the mother of adult children, who no longer lived at home. An autopsy was carried out on Tuesday and forensic analyses are still underway.
The 67-year-old man was charged with “murder by a partner” as a repeat offender. He had already been convicted in the past for violence committed “outside the marital and family context”but no longer had any judicial follow-up “for several years”the prosecution said.
