The 26-year-old Russian-Ukrainian man arrested Monday June 3 in Roissy after having seriously burned himself while making a homemade explosive device, was brought this Friday June 7 at the end of his police custody to be presented to an anti-terrorism judge in the afternoon, Franceinfo learned from a source close to the matter.

This man was injured while making a homemade explosive device. He had been in police custody since Tuesday after being hospitalized. On Monday, investigators discovered products and materials intended for the manufacture of explosive devices at the scene. It was one of those devices that exploded.

The National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into “participation in a terrorist criminal association with a view to preparing crimes of attacks against persons”, “possession of an incendiary or explosive substance or product or of elements intended to compose an incendiary or explosive device with a view to preparing destruction” And “degradation or harm to persons, in connection with a terrorist enterprise”.
