The man killed Tuesday January 9 in Eslettes, north of Rouen (Seine-Maritime), during the robbery of an armory, was wanted as part of the investigation into the death of a teenager at the beginning of December in Val- de-Marne, Franceinfo learned on Wednesday from a source close to the investigation.

On the evening of Friday, December 8, the 17-year-old teenager went with his cousin and two other young people to a meeting arranged on an online sales site to sell jogging pants. There, at least five people “in a balaclava” are waiting for them. A fight breaks out and one of them pulls out a knife and stabs two teenagers. The first was hit in the femoral artery and died on the spot, the second, his cousin, was injured in the rear thigh, without his life threatening.

A robber still wanted

The main suspect in the murder has been arrested. A second individual, aged 18, suspected of being linked to the murder, was wanted as part of the investigation. It was he who was killed on Tuesday during the robbery of the armory in Seine-Maritime. That day, shortly after 11 a.m., three individuals, some of them armed, their faces hidden and dressed in dark clothing, burst into the Eslettes armory, north of Rouen. One of the men was fatally injured by one or more gunshots. It was he who was wanted in the Val-de-Marne investigation.

The two other suspects in the armory robbery fled by car before abandoning the vehicle, reports France Bleu Normandie. One of the two suspected robbers is arrested by a patrol from the Rouen departmental gendarmerie company. The second fled. The gendarmerie is calling on anyone who can provide testimony in order to find him. In this case, two men have been in police custody since Tuesday, one of the three suspected robbers and the employee of the gun shop who fired the fatal shot(s). Two investigations were opened by the Rouen public prosecutor’s office, one for attempted theft, the other into the circumstances of the death of one of the suspects.
