Fans of the Harry Potter saga will be delighted to learn that, from November 25, they will be able to live a unique experience: dive into the world of wizards during the Grand Bal de Noël. An event to book now.
The magic will soon take hold of Montreal, since the city has been chosen with three others — Milan, Houston and Mexico City — to be the scene, starting this fall, of a great Christmas celebration inspired by the magical stories of writer JK Rowling. Co-produced by Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment and Fever, an international entertainment platform, the Grand Bal de Noël offers an immersive and interactive experience, where characters from the famous saga will bring the whimsical world of Harry Potter to participants.
“Montreal was chosen to launch this event experience because of its vibrant cultural scene and for the world-class talent and expertise it offers in the performing arts,” explains Alexandre Boccardi, Canada Manager of Original Events. of fever.
He adds that last July, a confidential test was carried out: 500 Harry Potter fans attended the running-in event here in Montreal. “Montreal therefore played an important role in the experience. »
Celebrations and challenges
The Spanish company, which has offices in 90 cities around the world, including Montreal, is not at its first event here. She produced the musical shows candle light and, lately, The Queen’s Ball. A Bridgerton Experience. As with the latter event, performances in English and French will be offered at different times of the week.
“Our mission is to highlight the artists of the city where the event takes place. We therefore collaborate with people who come, for the most part, from the local scene,” underlines the manager of Fever in Montreal.
Thanks to the theatrical performances of the artists and the magic of the sets (made in part in Quebec), we promise to transport us straight to the world of Hogwarts, where the festivities rub shoulders with the adventurous challenges of the wizarding world. A little scoop: participants will be immersed in the universe of the Triwizard Tournament, told in The Goblet of Firethe fourth novel in the literary saga.
To give depth to the experience, the Salon Richmond 1861 was chosen as the setting for the Grand Bal de Noël festivities. This historic building once housed the old Saint-Joseph church built in the 19e century. The places will be decorated in the colors of the different houses of Hogwarts and will come alive under the spotlights of this immersive experience.
In addition to the ball, which will be the highlight of the evening, activities and lively encounters with famous characters from the saga will also be on the agenda. Photo opportunities will be offered on site, as well as a small market, which will sell items for budding magicians. Food and drinks, including the famous “butterbeer”, will be sold à la carte and offered as a cocktail dinner.
