Stéphane Séjournée created this choir in 2014 with the desire to offer everyone a repertoire that is not very commonly interpreted by groups that sing more of a baroque, classical or religious repertoire. The choir sometimes performs in a modernized version in a pop style.
Stéphane Séjourné started playing the piano at the age of 5 and had a wonderful encounter when he was still a child, that of Georges Alloo 1st prize at the Paris Conservatory in piano, conducting, counterpoint and fugue which will become his teacher and pass on to him the passion for music.
Stéphane Séjourné has never stopped playing the piano since. Studio musician, pianist accompanying singers and comedians, he arrived in Dordogne in 1999 and set up his own studio and taught piano. In 2010, he trained as Choirmaster and took charge of the Amal’gamme choir in Périgueux. In 2014, he started Pop Chœur with the desire to share the pleasure of music over and over again.

Today the choir is proud to have been selected to represent New Aquitaine, Dordogne and the city of Périgueux at the artistic and environmental festival “” Et si un jour “in Lyon on April 2 and 3, 2022. Pop Chœur a d ‘elsewhere launched a crowdfunding in which you can participate.
