The Macronists “they want the votes of the Insoumis but they don’t want Insoumis in the government”protested Ian Brossat, senator of Paris and spokesperson for the French Communist Party (PCF) on franceinfo on Friday August 23, “There’s a lot of hypocrisy in there”.

He was reacting to the comments of some MPs who announced that they would vote for a motion of censure against a government including LFI ministers, while Emmanuel Macron received representatives of the left, the centre and the right today at the Elysée, as part of the appointment of a new Prime Minister.

“The same people who say that were very happy yesterday to have the votes of the New Popular Front (NFP) and therefore also of the Insoumis when they were candidates in the legislative elections against the National Rally (RN)”develops the communist, “in fact, the Insoumis, like all the left-wing forces, were part of the republican front which allowed the election of Macronist deputies and even of the republican right against the RN”.

“Above all, there is not anger among us, but determination to ensure that the French vote is respected.”he explains, “The New Popular Front came out on top in the second round of the legislative elections, and so we are very determined to ensure that the changes we are waiting for can actually take place. […] tomorrow, in government with Lucie Castets“.
