The LFI MP pleads for an “equivalent of the Marshall plan to put National Education, our hospitals and our transport back on their feet”.
The LFI deputy for Seine-Saint-Denis Clémentine Autain accuses Friday February 2 on franceinfo “the macronie” to become “an agent of private interests and a destroyer of the public spirit”. The elected representative of La France insoumise denounces “the patient destruction of all public services”which occurred, according to her, since “decades but accelerated by macronia”.
The member for Seine-Saint-Denis thus calls on the executive to follow the adage stated by Prime Minister Gabriel Attal during his general policy declaration to announce the creation of educational work for juvenile delinquents, namely: “You break, you repair; you dirty, you clean.” The government “destroys the hospital, he rebuilds; he destroys the school, he rebuilds; he destroys our public transport, he rebuilds them”says Clémentine Autain.
If the index point in the civil service was revalued on July 1 by 1.5%, Clémentine Autain recalls above all that the civil service experienced during “ten years the frost of [son] index point”. She thus deplores “a generalized impoverishment of all agents”. “We need the equivalent of a Marshall Plan, something very strong to get National Education, our hospitals and our transport back on their feet”supports the rebellious MP.
The elected official from Seine-Saint-Denis is particularly interested in teachers, called to strike on Thursday to demand, among other things, a salary increase. Clémentine Autain also considers that this mobilization “reflects a deep, serious discomfort” which is observed “by recruitment problems”. “In the early 1980s, a teacher who was starting his career [était payé] the equivalent of 2.2 SMIC, compared to 1.2 SMIC today”, she laments. For Clémentine Autain, the recent salary increases for teachers thus represent “a micro-catch-up”.
