Direction Cap Corse for a walk on the Douaniers trail. An essential hike that offers dream landscapes.
The Douaniers trail (Haute-Corse) offers a 19 km hike, covered in particular by Prosper and his group of scouts from France. “The view is just… It’s the dream. Corsica is much better than we had imagined”, he comments. The group came very organized to go around Cap Corse. For others, the day’s hike is slightly less prepared. “We came in the morning to escape the heat, but we forgot to take water“says Gaia, an Italian tourist.
Respect the protected natural site
The path is discovered on foot. To access the beaches, some allow themselves a shortcut by boat, in the authorized mooring areas. Between the Genoese towers and the beaches, the Sentier des Douaniers is above all a protected natural site. So that all the walkers can benefit from it, it is necessary to follow the paths, and not to take away any plant or animal.
