A qualification without shining. The OL players and those of SK Brann neutralized each other in the Champions League (2-2) in Bergen, Thursday November 21. If in the first leg Ada Hegerberg’s teammates had clearly dominated the game (3-1), the Fenottes were put in difficulty and did not emerge victorious for the first time in their season (15 matches, 14 victories and a draw ). But the essential is assured. Two days before the end of the group stage, they are already guaranteed to participate in the quarter-finals for the 9th consecutive year.

The match started very well for the offensive Lyonnaises with two quick goals. Amel Majri opened the scoring by taking a back pass with one touch (6th), then Ada Hegerberg converted the penalty obtained by Danielle van de Donk (12th). But after Justine Kielland’s score was reduced (34th), Brann fought back. A few minutes after returning from the locker room, OL became numerically inferior after the expulsion of Lindsey Horan for a gesture of humor (52nd). The elements then broke loose and, under a snowstorm, the Lyonnaises held back, but ended up giving in in the last seconds, surprised by Signe Gaupset (90th + 4).

The Fenottes can in any case remain confident for the next matches against St-Pölten and Slavia Prague since they no longer risk elimination. They are still first in their group with three lengths ahead of Brann. It should be noted that St-Pölten and Slavia saw their confrontation postponed after the attack on a university building in Prague which left more than 15 dead.
