The return of swimming clubs in the Dordogne
It’s a return to school which, according to Laurent Pascaud, president of the Dordogne Swimming Committee, is going well, with a good number of pre-registrations in the various Périgord clubs. Few fears of closing swimming pools due to the energy crisis, because here, and he gives the examples of Saint Astier, Périgueux, Bergerac, the swimming pools have more ecological and less energy-consuming heating systems. But, he recalls that the question is addressed more to the communities, and that he is rather confident on this subject. Laurent Pascaud who adds that it will be necessary, in any case, in the future, to also turn to the disciplines of swimming in open water.
