The Lons Section Paloise Rugby Féminin wins in Normandy and saves its place in the Elite (0-33)

It’s a big sigh of relief for the Lons Section Paloise Rugby Féminin! The Béarnaises were simply playing their survival in Elite 1 this Sunday afternoon, on a dry match, in Evreux against the Valkyries Normandie of Rouen, crowned last weekend champions of Elite 2. If the Normans had not lost a single match of the season, the Lonsoises enforced logic to win, 0-33and therefore maintain!

The Lonsoises raced in the lead

From the start of the match, the Béarnaises took the score, thanks to a first try from Magali Ollier, then two others in the first period signed Lisa Cazaux and Alexia Cerenys to lead 19-0 at the break. Despite a sluggish return from the locker room, thanks to his dominating conquest Lons will register a new try by his new international retiree, Lise Arricastre. Laetitia Royer, in the last minutes, scores a last try to seal the score. The Lonsoises can take a breather, and savor, the return by bus, of a good ten hours, will necessarily be easier to bear!
