A second victim was found under the rubble, in Sanary-sur-Mer, Wednesday, December 8. The 82-year-old woman was at home when the building collapsed. On the spot, the emotion of the inhabitants is always very strong.
Even if the dogs do not detect any sign of life, the firefighters continue, Wednesday, December 8, to search the rubble at the foot of the collapsed building in Sanary-sur-Mer (Var). Two bodies have already been found. A man is still missing. The more the hours pass, the more the chances diminish, and the emotion grips the inhabitants of the district. “As the holidays approach, it’s always a bit tragic to lose people, to lose family“, says a man.
Victims appreciated by all
The search went on all night. In the early hours of the morning, the body of an 82-year-old woman was discovered. The victims had been living in Sanary-sur-Mer for years, and were known and appreciated by everyone in the town. “It’s a big village, and all the people are marked by an affair like this“, said Daniel Alsters, the mayor of the city.
