Located at the Jean-Talon Market, this bookstore specializing in books dealing with cooking and gastronomy was founded in 2004 by Anne Fortin.

Passionate about cooking like her founder, Jessie Lassonde launched the Gourmand & Co grocery store in Verdun a few years ago. In her post, she sends a “special thank you to Anne Fortin for creating this unique place in Montreal and who trusted me to take over.”

“I will add my own touch by including kitchen items specially selected for enthusiasts, as well as a large selection of locally produced stationery,” continues Ms.me Lassonde.

“Over time, the Bookstore has proudly become a showcase for our culinary community. Without false modesty, I can say that it is successful, “said Anne Fortin a few months ago, when she announced that she wanted to pass the torch.
