The Professional Football League (LFP) will hold a board meeting on Thursday, July 25 in the morning to ratify the choice of the DAZN and beIN Sports duo as the new broadcaster of Ligue 1 until 2029. This is what the sports management of Radio France learned from concordant sources, confirming information from The TeamThe board meeting will take place at 9:30 a.m., according to various sources.
On July 14, exclusive negotiations were launched with the British platform and the Qatari channel, candidates for the broadcast of French football for the next five seasons. DAZN is offering 400 million euros for eight of the nine matches per day, while beIN Sports will broadcast one match per day, for 100 million euros.
Negotiations are still ongoing, particularly on the length of the exit clause, which will be two or three years, and on the posters that the Qatari channel will broadcast each day. A favorable outcome is however expected on Thursday.
