The reactions are multiplying. Sunday September 24, the majority, the right and the extreme right fell headlong into the left, in particular La France insoumise, accused of being complicit in the few incidents which occurred on Saturday in Paris, during the demonstration “against police violence and systemic racism” in Paris.
“When we have La France insoumise, when we have a part of EELV who do not condemn these acts but have been fanning and blowing on the embers for several months, (…) they have a share of responsibility”for example denounced Maud Bregeon, the spokesperson for the Renaissance deputies, on BFMTV.
“The elected officials who endorse this manifestation of shame are complicit”, for her part accused Valérie Pécresse, the LR president of the Ile-de-France region, on the X platform (formerly Twitter). Marine Le Pen also criticized “manifest responsibility for hatred and violence” of the “extremist political forces and magistrates”.
A stoned police car
A police car, stuck in traffic on Boulevard de Clichy in Paris, was attacked on Saturday “with an iron bar”, specified the Paris police headquarters. One of the police officers then briefly got out of the vehicle, gun in hand, to keep the demonstrators at bay. “This gesture is very serious and unacceptable”estimated environmentalist MP Sandrine Rousseau on LCI.
Some 31,300 people demonstrated for “stand together against police violence and systemic racism” Saturday across the country, including 9,000 in Paris, according to the Interior Ministry. According to the CGT and La France insoumise, the demonstrators numbered around 80,000, including 15,000 in the capital.
