The Socialist Party and Place publique gathered their troops in Lyon, in the Rhône, on Sunday March 10. Raphaël Glucksmann refutes a duel between the National Rally and Renaissance for the European elections.

He is in third position in the polls, but still far from the National Rally and the Renaissance party. Raphaël Glucksmann, head of the socialist list in the European elections, wants to pose as an alternative to the majority/extreme right duel. From Lyon (Rhône), Sunday March 10, ithere attacked Renaissance: “You are not a barrier, you are a stepping stone. You promised to bring down the National Rally, and it has never been so high.”

Raphaël Glucksmann, man for the job?

The feeling is shared by Fabien Roussel (French Communist Party), on the stage of the Grand Rendez-vous Europe 1, CNews and Les Echos: “By setting up a duel, (it’s) as if they wanted to divide the electorate in two. And (it’s) a way to raise the far right”. As for socialist activists, worried about the rise of the far right, Raphaël Glucksmann could well be the solution: “I think we have a leader here. He is charismatic and he is young.”
