We already knew the headliners of the next LASSO festival: Kane Brown and Chris Stapleton. Jake Owen, Brothers Osborne, Dean Brody, Elle King, Gabby Barrett, Les Hay Babies and Francis Degrandpré are among the artists who will be added to the program for the event to be held on August 18 and 19.
LASSO, like last year, will offer a vast panorama of current country music. Artists with a more traditional sound like Brothers Osborne, Dean Brody or Chris Stapelton in his less rocky moments rub shoulders with those who mix their roots with more pop styles like Elle King or Madeline Edwards, who sometimes approaches soul.
Montreal is an important market for country music in Canada, said evenko, promoter of LASSO, last summer. Around 35,000 spectators turned out on August 12 and 13, 2022 for the first edition of the festival, which notably received Luke Bryan Dierks Bentley, Riley Green and Old Dominion.
The 2023 poster promises to be just as unifying with singers from different generations. As in 2022, LASSO is in an equal zone: of the 22 artists or groups announced to date, almost half (9 out of 22) are women.
One- and two-day tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. A presale is taking place for American Express cardholders.
