The best French folk dancers are from the Landes! The “Lous Gouyats de l’Adou” knew how to make New Aquitaine shine in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers. The group of dacquois stilt walkers, made up of around fifty members, including children, had known the result since September 2021! Seven long months during which it was necessary to keep the secret.

The Landes were represented by Lous Gouyats de l’Adou

“We were on cloud nine”

“We were in a room at the bottom of the stage. The jury announced the results gradually,” recalls Annie Lasserre, one of the dancers in the group. “I can’t even describe the reaction of our youngest as for through the door, the voice of Cyril Féraud [l’animateur de l’émission] announced that we were the winners. We are on a little cloud.”, savors the Landaise.

“You know, it feels like we’re not touching the ground. It’s so unreal. We really went there with all our heart, with all our simplicity, proud to defend this folklore, our roots, our passion. And we didn’t expect to win at all because we knew the level of the other groups. This victory, we really shared it with everyone.”
