Monday 1er August, the 13 Hours newscast presents the night market in La Rochelle, in Charente-Maritime. Here, more than 50 exhibitors gather during the summer, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

In La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime), the night market is held every Saturday and Wednesday with around fifty exhibitors. Jams, craft beers, creations and local products, there is something for everyone. Valentin Spirkel is a beekeeper. He studied carpentry but followed his father into beekeeping. Together they made all their hives.

Customers like to share with traders to learn how they work. “In the night markets, people take more time to look at the products, to discuss”, remarks Aurélien Pascaud, merchant “Ail noir des Claires”. Tourists are looking for authenticity with the night markets. At 11 p.m., a jewelry designer still has many people to serve. “I make to measure for people who ask me for patterns, prints, first names”, explains Marianne Magnier, creator of “Choux jewelry jewelry”. The night market is held in La Rochelle until August 31.
