The La Fontaine tunnel closed towards Montreal during the weekend

Montreal motorists should take their troubles patiently during their trips over the weekend, due to the closure of the Louis-Hyppolite-La Fontaine tunnel towards Montreal and the obstacles planned elsewhere on the highway network.

The closure, which will be in effect from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, will affect Highway 25 northbound between exit 90 and the Souligny Avenue entrance.

All 136 eastbound will be closed between the Turcot interchange and the entrances to Notre-Dame and de la Cathédrale streets, from Saturday midnight to Monday 5 a.m.

In the Saint-Pierre interchange, the ramp leading from R-138 eastbound to Highway 20 eastbound will also be closed for 48 hours starting Saturday at midnight.

Highway 40 will be completely closed between exit 41 and the next entrance from Saturday midnight to Monday 5 a.m., according to Mobility Montreal, which offers a detour via the service road.

On Highway 13, traffic will be in the opposite direction on the south roadway, between A-520 and the Liesse tunnel, from Friday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

Finally, the Ministry of Transport provides for the closure of 2 lanes out of 3 on the A-15 northbound, between rue Salaberry and boulevard Matte, from Saturday 6 a.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
