Moscow accuses kyiv of detonating drones on the Kremlin on the night of Tuesday May 2 to assassinate Vladimir Putin. An accusation that the Ukrainians deny en bloc while the video has still not been authenticated.
Above the Kremlin in Moscow, a drone explodes. This video was published in the early afternoon on the Telegram network. It is currently impossible to verify this video, nor to know when it was filmed. Other images show a plume of smoke. Russia claims to have shot down two Ukrainian drones.
Ukraine denies
On the sidelines of a trip to Finland, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to these accusations. “We did not attack Putin, we leave it to the courts”, he says. Another question arises. Why did the Kremlin publicize this attack? For experts, the objective is to strengthen Russian patriotism, while Ukraine is about to launch a counter-offensive. “The symbol is extremely strong, it is Russia that is touched to the heart. It is godsend for the Russian government”, develops Ulrich Bounat, member of the Think-Tank open diplomacy. This evening, Russian leaders are calling for the destruction of the Ukrainian government, others for the elimination of Volodymyr Zelensky.
