In an Instagram story, Karine le Marchand filmed the first day of filming the speed dating events (after the presentation of the portraits, January 8, January 15 and January 22, 2024). Delighted to reunite with the farmers for the show which made her a superstar in the rural world, we wonder if her experiences of recent months will be integrated into the program. Indeed, at the start of the year, Karine Le Marchand did not back down when the farmers went on strike. And she even went to meet them on the highway, to ride on their tanks, as she had promised, as a sign of support.
In addition to this serious crisis, Karine Le Marchand could also integrate into the next season, testimonies never before heard in “Love is in the meadow”. On March 11, 2024, she explained with her friend Rachel Khan that she was looking for testimonies from farmers who hid Jews during the Second World War.

On Instagram, she made an email available, and assured: “we want to highlight these farmers who hid and saved, in the shadows, hundreds of Jews during the Second World War, and who were never recognized as Righteous. Because it seemed normal to them to help their neighbor, because they do not speak easily, they have never taken the step. If you know any, or if in your farming family, Jewish children and adults were hidden, contact us. We owe them a lot and we will celebrate their memory.”
