Reporting does not appeal to everyone. And it is probably not Hugo Clément who will say the opposite. Indeed, the journalist, who made his debut with Daily, is much talked about for his reports which aim to denounce ecological problems or animal abuse. But for the past few weeks, Alexandra Rosenfeld’s companion has been focusing mainly on hunting. Having become his main fight, Hugo Clément denounces this activity and the dangers that can result from it.
Aware that he can annoy by his reports, and in particular the hunters, he still did not expect the letter he was going to receive this Friday, January 13. Indeed, the journalist took over his Twitter account to announce that he had just been “indicted by an examining magistrate for having… made a program on hunting in enclosures”. Hugo Clément accompanying his post with a photo of the said indictment for crimes of defamation and public insult from the Paris Court of Appeal. The reason ? His report which did not please.
A report that ultimately did not convince
This is an episode of On the front aired May 23, 2021 on France 5entitled The opaque world of hunting enclosures as pointed out by our colleagues from Current wife. As a reminder, this report was intended to follow Benjamin Tranchant, the heir to the Tranchant casino group, who invited Hugo Clément and his team of cameramen to enter his hunting enclosure. However, the heir does not seem to have appreciated the report.
“Finally not finding the show to his liking, because he is very critical of his hobby which consists of shooting locked animals, he decides to file a complaint for defamation, after having given us formal notice to delete the parts concerning him (we refused)”announced Hugo Clément on social networks before denouncing “gag proceedings by “a wealthy heir, owner of a hunting paddock who can afford to incur expenses just to impress”.
