This summer, the metal structure of the Jeanne d’Arc bus station showed potential signs of fragility. It was necessary to check the solidity of one of the pillars. Tisséo had therefore chosen to close its exchange hub which welcomes thousands of passengers using six bus lines. After reinforcement work and expertise, these stops can be served again from Monday 7 November.
- the lines L9 (The Union/Saint-Orens), 15 (Joan of Arc/Av of the United States) and 23 (Jeanne d’Arc/Rangeuil) return to their usual routes,
- them lines 45 (Jeanne d’Arc/Purpan) and 70 (Jeanne d’Arc/Aéroconstellation) once again make their terminus at Jeanne d’Arc,
- the line 39 (Jeanne d’arc/Amouroux) now takes rue Matabiau in both directions and will serve Place Roquelaine and the Matabiau bridge.
A vegetated place in six years?
Tisséo also announces that from November 7, modular docks in recycled pvc will be used at the Jeanne d’Arc bus station to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility when getting on and off the bus. This is a first in the Toulouse conurbation. In a recent interview with our colleagues fromNews
, Mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc confided in the long term that he wanted to modernize Place Jeanne d’Arc, by removing the bus station and greening this place. An imaginable option only by removing the buses in favor of… the third metro line expected at the end of 2028.
