“We realize that the Jews have become objects in the political field, they are exploited, thrown against each other, even today in the words of Gabriel Attal to try to disqualify one or the other political camp”, denounced Arié Alimi on franceinfo Thursday June 20. He is the author of a column published in Le Monde entitled: “Left-wing anti-Semitism is experiencing an undeniable resurgence, but it is being used to undermine the credibility of the New Popular Front”a text signed with the historian Vincent Lemire.
“We must not equate the left camp, made up of a succession of parties notably La France insoumise where there were some speeches which crossed the red lines, and another party which is the heir of Vichy since these statutes were created after the Second World War by a former collaborationist, a former Waffen-SS”said Arié Alimi.
“There was a succession of anti-Semitic words by its former leader Jean-Marie Le Pen,” founder of the National Front. According to Arié Alimi, members of the RN “have not made their aggiornamento on the question” of anti-Semitism. “The danger is much greater with regard to the National Rally which exploits the few speeches which may have punctuated the electoral campaign for the European elections.”
“What annoys me is making anti-Semitism a political object that could disqualify one side or the other and that is extremely dangerous”

“From the moment we consider that we can play with anti-Semitism and with Jews, it is already a form of anti-Semitism and we must be wary of this type of speech”, warned the lawyer. We must denounce all anti-Semitic speeches, “this is the reason why this platform was necessary to say that there are speeches which are not admissible and that we must not equate ontological anti-Semitism, that of the French extreme right, and speech of straying a few times”within left-wing parties, according to Arié Alimi.
