The Jean Butez school mobilized against the expulsion of a Georgian family in Puy-de-Dôme

The entire Jean Butez school is mobilizing to avoid the expulsion of a family of undocumented Georgians. They were more than a hundred children, parents and teachers to have gathered this Thursday, June 2 in front of the gates of this Clermont kindergarten.

28 days to leave the territory

The family in question has been living in Clermont-Ferrand since 2018. Nina Gelashvili, the mother, says she left Georgia for security reasons. Her husband was arrested last week. Incarcerated in the administrative detention center of Nîmes. The two children, aged 5 and 11, therefore risk having to leave school within 28 days.

The children unfurled a large banner on which they wrote words of support for the family. Because from the top of their ten years, they understood that they risked losing their two friends.
