Opened just before the holidays, in Saint-Sauveur, the “health counter” La Jasette didn’t take long to make itself known.
One of its owners, Alanis Desilets, is a social media muse. Pregnant with her second child, the one who hosts a podcast in addition to managing her boutique La Campagne d’ici – formerly only online, now adjacent to the pretty café – is busy behind the counter. His sister Noémie, florist and landscape designer, is a partner in the adventure. She also works there.
The Desilets have moved into a pretty house on rue Principale. The beautiful white and beige space – café au lait colour! –, with a large stone fireplace and exposed wooden beams, calls for lounging. In the comfort and light, we sip smoothies, specialty espressos, nibbling pastries or light and “healthy” dishes.
In the back, the selection of Quebec products, objects, clothing and accessories completes the experience, which marvelously combines the urban with the rural.
