The two Alsatian sites selected in 2021 for the Heritage Mission for the safeguarding of endangered heritage carried by Stéphane Bern, learned on Monday the amount of aid granted to them.
In the Haut-Rhin, the Commanderie de Rixheim, listed as a historic monument, is receiving aid of 117,000 euros intended to cover the financing needs of the first phase of restoration work on the central building.
In the Bas-Rhin, the fortified refuge of the enclosure wall of Dossenheim-sur-Zinsel, an unprotected monument, receives aid of 247,000 euros.
Each year, applications relating to Alsatian heritage in danger are submitted to the site www.missionbern.fr. The files are processed by the delegates and the representatives of the Alsace delegation in consultation with the Ministry of Culture. The Heritage Foundation monitors the progress of the work and ensures that the heritage characteristics of the places are respected, in conjunction with the State services.
