For rugby fans, this is the dream poster. Stade Toulouse, record holder for Champions Cup victories with five titles, faces Leinster, Saturday May 25 at 3:45 p.m. (live on France 2 and france.tv), at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The Irish, with four European Cups, are the runners-up to Toulouse in the prize list. Already unhappy finalists last year against Stade Rochelais and with three defeats in the Champions Cup final over the last five years, the Leinster players want to break this negative spiral by returning to victory.
In their last three confrontations with Toulouse, the Irish won, each time in the semi-final of the European Cup. Opposite, the Toulouse, leaders of the Top 14, are in great form and remain on a series of eight finals won in all competitions (since 2008). In the semi-finals, the Rouge et Noir eliminated Harlequins, while the Leinstermen took out Northampton to deprive the English clubs of a final at home.
