The investigations into the accusations of sexual violence against the journalist Patrick Poivre-d’Arvor have been extended to the a priori prescribed facts denounced by the writer Florence Porcel, franceinfo learned from a source familiar with the matter this Wednesday, confirming information from the AFP.
After a first complaint closed without further action, the writer filed a complaint with civil action in November 2021 to denounce two rapes, one dating from 2004 – therefore a priori prescribed – and the other dating from 2009. One month later, a judicial investigation was opened in Nanterre but only on the facts which are not prescribed. Florence Porcel appealed for the prescribed facts to also be the subject of investigations.
Responding favorably to her request, the investigative chamber of the Versailles Court of Appeal has therefore just decided to extend the judicial information currently in progress to the first rape denounced by the writer. She wants the investigating judge in charge of the investigations to examine it despite everything and add it to the file.
Asked by franceinfo, the lawyers of Florence Porcel did not wish to comment on this decision.
The former TF1 8 p.m. star denies having raped Florence Porcel and disputes the accusations of sexual violence by more than a dozen women who followed the writer’s revelations. Two of his complaints for “slanderous denunciation” were shelved. He filed a third, with civil action, last April.
