“Complément d’études” is 20 years old and marks the occasion on Thursday, December 16 with a special evening and night. It was in 2001 that Benoît Duquesne created “Complément d’études”, the week of the September 11 attacks. Since his sudden death in 2014, four presenters have followed one another: Nicolas Poincaré, Thomas Sotto, Jacques Cardoze and Tristan Waleckx since the start of the school year. This 38-year-old journalist, Albert-Londres Prize, is an investigative specialist.
If he now goes less in the field, he continues to question the actors and witnesses of the news in the famous red armchairs, without any censorship from his hierarchy: “We investigate everyone and all powers, political, sports, economic, media … We have carte blanche. For us, being there seven years later to celebrate this anniversary is a way of continuing the spirit of Benoît Duquesne. “

It is a plunge into the archives of “Complément d’études” to try to understand how French society has reached such a degree of anger, frustration and division: “We have a few snippets of answers.
